HAC’s research-related involvements:

  • December 2016: Pathways to Prosperity 2016 National Conference (Ottawa)
  • Last December, HAC participated in Pathways to Prosperity 2016 National Conference. At this national conference held in Ottawa, HAC representative presented a poster about our 3C Project (C.C.C. – Connect and Change the Community). Attendees at this conference included researchers, settlement agency representatives, LIP and RIF coordinators, graduate students, policy and program officials from the three orders of government, and others working in the area of immigration.
  • Forthcoming Events: Connect and Change the Community (C.C.C.) Conference – Putting Your Research into Practice
  • We will be inviting various settlement agencies, community organizations, nonprofit organizations, corporate sponsors and media representatives to officially announce our plans for 2017-2018 and onward
  • The goal is to also discuss with researchers, faculty members and graduate students about how academics and the third sectors can work together to influence policy and practice. Stay tuned for further details!
